For months I walked around telling myself I would finish. Even if I had to crawl to the finish line. As many runners prepared their bodies for the 2019 New York City Marathon I knew my mind needed some training. I’m proud to say I’m a finisher of the NYC 2019 Marathon. Becoming a finisher of the 26.2-mile run sparked my mind with overflowing questions I had to ask myself.
Why haven’t I pressed through to the finishing line of the dreams God has given me?
What’s REALLY holding me back from going through the process of finishing?
Why do I keep running only to turn back?
With all these questions I found 2 Corthinians 8:10-12
So here’s what I think: The best thing you can do right now is to finish what you started last year and not let those good intentions grow stale. Your heart’s been in the right place all along. You’ve got what it takes to finish it up, so go to it. Once the commitment is clear, you do what you can, not what you can’t.
This scripture encouraged me to take out all of my dreams and really begin evaluating how I could bring them to God’s finish line. Its time I felt the Lord says. We are not made to only start things but we’re mandated to finish. What have you started and let fall?
Lets PRAY Friend
Father in the name of Jesus every lie spoken over us that we are not called to finish we silence it in the name of Jesus. Every generational curse causing us to leave things undone we break it in the name of Jesus. Father, we declare we are finishers who operate in the things of God. Help us, Lord, to execute in excellence. Lord keep our hearts pure and our intentions filled with hope as we go through the process of finishing. Lord let our YES! be YES! and our No! be No!. Lord let our ears to hear joy. Lord teach us to be good stewards of your gifts. Lord thank you for your love. Thank you for using this post to minister to me. You have reminded me of what you have placed inside of me. Thank you for choosing me to write this post. In Jesus’ name, I say thank you, lord. Let every person reading this make it to their finish line. May you give them the wisdom they need to push through.
If you have not accepted Jesus in your heart, and you would like to, here is a prayer you can pray. Get connected in a good loving based church.
Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith, I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen. Prayer is from Dr.Ray Pritchard found
