October Monthly Devotional: Make It Personal

Three can be a crowd, right? Especially when you’re longing to spend time with a specific person one on one. Sometimes I wonder if God just wants to spend one on one time with us and we create 3rd wheels. Between Bible Study, conferences, Prayer Meetings, Missions Trips, church meetings etc there are many things to do. All of these types of fellowships are amazing. Of course, there is nothing more beautiful than God’s children in unity to study, uplight and praise his name. But every great father wants separate time with each of his children. Spending alone time with God fills us up in ways corporate fellowships can’t. These past few months I have had more time than usual to spend with God. Not sure what LOVE exactly feels like but lately, God has been on my mind more than ever. Waking up I say God Morning Dad and my night have ended mumbling words to God has I drift to sleep. I dare you to use the time you have or make more time to be personal with God. Jesus often went to the mountains to be alone and pray. Will you go to the mountain alone?

If you have not accepted Jesus in your heart, and you would like to, here is a prayer you can pray. Get connected in a good loving based church.

Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith, I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen. Prayer is from Dr.Ray Pritchard found
