I waited for everyone to leave the house. Running downstairs full of excitement to blast her latest song.  Something about it just took me to a whole other world.  I’d turned the song so loud I couldn’t hear reality. My ears pierced with freedom and fun. I think it’s fair to say everyone has at least one childhood song that still lives in his or her heart? You know exactly what I mean. The song comes on and all of a sudden, you’re back in the 1990’s. Without thinking too hard, Janet Jackson “All for You” comes to mind. Oh, take me back to 2001.

Back in the day, my imagination was immeasurable; I used a refrigerator as a chalkboard to teach a class, and a 1995 Apple computer to pretend I was this major business executive.  The world was my playground; but somewhere along the lines, I fell off the monkey bars and lost sight. When we allow our creativity to flow, we create things people have never seen.  Unfortunately, sometimes this comes with judgment and rejection. When our identity is not firmly rooted in Christ, we shy away from creating with freedom.  Then we create only to seek acceptance and we do not create how God intended for us too. Lately, God has been placing people in my life who are living out their dreams using their creativity to inspire the little dreamer in me.

I have felt the nudge to try painting, creating songs, and to write in a different style.  Something special about creativity is when you are creating you are connecting with the creator. God is in the midst of us creating. Well, friend, have you lost your creativity? God wants you to get back up and see the world as your playground again.

Let us pray together friend.

Father thank you for my sweet friend. Father every ounce of creativity-stolen we ask for a return with a double portion. Father, thank you for the fresh ideas and fresh anointing. Father, I thank you for everything you have put back in place. Lord, I thank you for a new season filled with your love and new understanding. In Jesus, name Amen.

If you have not accepted Jesus in your heart and would like to, here is a prayer you can pray. I pray the lord connects you to a warm and comfortable church.

Lord Jesus, for too long I have kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith, I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior. Amen. Prayer from Dr.Ray Pritchard found
